Court Stops Infringement of Trademark Owned by Sojuzpatent’s Client

A consignment of presumably counterfeit children’s toys marked with the PLAYSET logo was stopped by the Vladivostok Customs as a result of the check of a cargo arrived from China.
As the representative of a world’s leading toys producer – Hasbro Inc. (USA) – Sojuzpatent filed a petition in which claimed confusing similarity of the arrested goods to Hasbro’s Russian trademark № 497649 «FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC».
The customs filed a lawsuit in the Primorkiy Region Arbitration Court. The court agreed with Sojuzpatent’s position, confirmed the infringement of Hasbro’s trademark and imposed a fine on the importer.
