Tesla Inc. (USA) favorably settled a trademark invalidation dispute in the Intellectual Property Court.

The Court for Intellectual Property Rights approved a settlement agreement, which ended an almost two-year long dispute initiated by a Russian company against a number of trademarks owned by Tesla Inc. (USA). The plaintiff had challenged the marks alleging the owner’s failure to use them during the preceding three years.  Sojuzpatent lawyers represented Tesla Inc. in the IP Court and in the respective negotiations. Following the signing of the agreement, the interests of the parties were respected and the legal protection of the client’s trademarks in the Russian Federation was preserved in full.
