Stada Arzneimittel AG (Germany) has favorably settled a trademark dispute in the IP court.
The German pharmaceutical company filed in the Russian IP court a nonuse cancellation action against the Russian trademark No. 252119 «Снуппи» (Snuppy), which had been cited by the Russian Patent and Trademark Office against Stada’s «Снуппик» (Snuppik) trademark application.
Sojuzpatent’s lawyers, who were representing Stada in the court, held negotiations with the opposite side and helped the client find a peaceful solution, which removes the obstacles to the registration of the client’s trademark.
In a hearing on October 18, 2021, the court ruled to end the proceedings and ordered the refund of the official fee to the claimant.
