Sojuzpatent to Host Roundtable at International Forum (Announcement)

The 18th International Forum “Intellectual Property – XXI Century” will be held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on April 22-23, 2026.

On April 22, 2026, Sojuzpatent will host a roundtable titled “Current Issues in the Registration and Protection of Trademarks and Other Means of Individualization.”

Key discussion topics:

1.      Changes in the protection and enforcement of rights in means of individualization over the past year;

2.      Practical issues in regulating parallel imports and combating counterfeiting;

3.      The growing role of sociological surveys in protecting rights in means of individualization;

4.      Recent case law on challenging the RUPTO’s decisions before the IP Court;

5.      Trademark infringement on the Internet.

Speakers will include representatives of Sojuzpatent, the Russian Federal Customs Service, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and other leading IP practitioners.
