Sojuzpatent Takes Part in International Conference “Current Issues of IP Protection”

On November 26-29, the Russian Chamber of Patent Attorneys organized an international conference entitled “Actual Issues of IP Protection”. Sojuzpatent Senior Lawyer Maria Plotkina made a presentation on problematic aspects of trademark recordation in the Customs register, highlighting the recent changes in the customs legislation, main obstacles that rights holders can face in the process of registration, and possible ways to overcome them.

This conference is held annually and, being one of the largest in the Eurasian Economic Union, gives patent attorneys and practicing lawyers from different countries an opportunity to exchange views, share experience, and discuss current trends in the field of intellectual property protection and enforcement in Russia and abroad.
