Sojuzpatent Successfully Defends Honeywell’s Eurasian Patent in Invalidation Action

Sojuzpatent represented Honeywell UOP (USA) in an action brought before the Eurasian Patent Office against the client's Eurasian patent № 032889. The patent «Options to reduce fouling in MTO downstream recovery» had been earlier obtained by Sojuzpatent's attorneys.

The opposition was filed with the Eurasian Patent Office by a Russian national who alleged that the claimed invention lacked an inventive step. The EAPO’s panel of experts, in its hearing, agreed with Sojuzpatent’s arguments, dismissed the claims, and kept the disputed patent in force.
