Sojuzpatent’s representatives, Russian patent attorneys S. Istomin, V. Pustin and K. Malugina took part in the ECTA 38th Annual Conference “New Horizons - through the Highland Haze” held from June 26 to 29, 2019 in Edinburgh, UK.
This year, the conference brought together a record number of participants. The Conference organizers offered an intense program of the event, busy with meetings and international IP experts’ speeches. The Conference was attended by representatives of the European Union Intellectual Property Office, the World Intellectual Property Organization, patent and trademark attorneys from different countries and professionals from large corporation and sassociations.
The main topics of the Conference were new developments in the field of intellectual property, legislative changes, legal protection of signs containing color and sound elements, and the use of blockchain technologies as a digital tool to register, monetize and enforce unregistered IP rights.
The ECTA Annual Conference participants were able to obtain a large amount of useful information in a short time, which is an indisputable advantage of this event.
