Orion Pharma Prevails in Trademark Dispute

Sojuzpatent successfully represented Orion Corporation (Finland) in a trademark cancellation case.
Orion Corporation (Finland) filed a non-use cancellation action in the Intellectual Property Court against the Russian trademark № 466746 «ФЕРТИМИН» opposed to ORION’s signs «ФЕРТИНА» and «FERTINA» filed for registration in Russia. After considering Sojuzpatent lawyers' arguments, the ФЕРТИМИН trademark owner decided to give up all their rights in the trademark registration.
The protection of the disputed trademark was cancelled by the RU PTO in full in accordance with the right holder’s application. Pursuant to Russian legislation, once a registration is surrendered it cannot be reinstated.
