Illegal Import of TRANSFORMERS Toys Prevented in Primorsky Krai

Sojuzpatent, acting on behalf of Hasbro, Inc., received a notification from the Far Eastern Electronic Customs regarding an attempted import into the Russian Federation of counterfeit toys that infringed Hasbro’s intellectual property rights. Sojuzpatent’s attorneys filed a complaint with the customs authorities to initiate administrative proceedings and later submitted written statements on Hasbro’s behalf during the court hearing.

The Primorsky Krai Arbitration Court upheld the position of the customs authorities and Sojuzpatent and found that Hasbro’s rights in the TRANSFORMERS trademark, protected under Russian Federation Trademark Certificate No. 346976, had been violated. Pursuant to the court’s decision in Case No. A51-16802/2025, the importer was fined and the counterfeit goods were confiscated.
