Honeywell Patent Rights Successfully Defended in Invalidation Proceedings

Rospatent’s Chamber for Patent Disputes affirmed our client’s rights to the invention “Method for crystallizing and increasing molecular weight of polymer particles.”

An invalidation action against a patent owned by our client Honeywell UOP was filed with Rospatent’s Chamber for Patent Dispute in early 2020. The opposing party claimed lack of novelty, obviousness, and insufficiency of disclosure as the grounds for the opposition. The Chamber held several hearings; the consideration of the case took about one year. Thanks to Sojuzpatent attorneys’ legal efforts, our client was able to retain its patent rights.
