Vladivostok: My Little Pony Counterfeits arrested and destroyed

Sojuzpatent Lawyers successfully represented our client – Hasbro Inc. (USA) – in a case against an importer of counterfeit goods before the Vladivostok Customs and the Primorskiy Region Arbitration Court. 

Presumably counterfeit children’s toys were stopped at a customs post in Vladivostok. The goods were of extremely poor quality. The designation My Little Pony owned by Hasbro was placed on the packaging together with the heroes of the well-known animated series “My Little Pony – Friendship is Magic”. Sojuzpatent lawyers filed a petition in the interests of Hasbro Inc. to prevent the release of the goods and bring the infringer to administrative liability. The customs officers arrested the goods, initiated an administrative case and filed a lawsuit in the Arbitration Court of Primorskiy region.

Having considered the case, the court satisfied the claims in full and brought the importer of the counterfeit goods to administrative liability under part 1 of Article 14.10 of the Russian Administrative Offenses Code with a fine of 50 000 RUB together with confiscation and destruction of the infringing goods.
