DSM-Firmenich Retains Rights to Challenged Trademarks

The challenge of trademarks under international registrations No. 1560001, 1558703, 936947 with the word element BIOMIN due to their non-use, initiated by a Russian company, ended in a peaceful settlement. During negotiations with the plaintiff, Sojuzpatent lawyers elaborated the terms of the settlement agreement, preserving the client's legitimate interests.

The Intellectual Property Court approved the settlement agreement, terminated proceedings in case No. SIP-1126/2024 and expressed gratitude to the parties for the work done to peacefully resolve the dispute.

DSM-Firmenich is a global company formed in 2023 through the merger of DSM, a Dutch chemical corporation, and Switzerland-based Firmenich, the third-largest player in the flavor and fragrance market.
