Counterfeited Dentist Kits Prevented from Entering Russia via Belarus

In another administrative court case, Sojuzpatent successfully defended the interests of Hasbro Inc. (USA), one of the few world’s most important manufacturers of children's products.

A customs inspection revealed a consignment of children’s toys – dentist kits – marked by designations identical to the PLAY-DOH and HASBRO trademarks owned by Hasbro Inc.

Sojuzpatent lawyers filed a petition in the interests of Hasbro Inc. to bring the infringers to administrative liability. The customs officers arrested the goods, initiated an administrative case and filed a lawsuit in the Arbitration Court of the Pskov Region.

In its hearing on April 6, 2022, the court satisfied the claims, brought the importer of the counterfeit goods to administrative liability under part 1 of Article 14.10 of the Russian Administrative Offenses Code and ordered confiscation and destruction of the infringing goods.
