Chamber for Patent Disputes Rules in Favor of Our Client Evalar

The RUPTO’s Chamber for Patent Disputes rejected an opposition action against granting legal protection to the trademark ЭФФЕКС EFFEX owned by Sojuzpatent's client – CJSC “Evalar”, a major Russian producer of natural substances. Sojuzpatent team’s arguments prevailed as the Chamber for Patent Disputes disagreed with the opponent and confirmed compliance of the registration with Clause 6 of Article 1483 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. Thus, ЭФФЕКС EFFEX trademark registration under certificate No. 505620 remains in effect.
