Appeals Court Sustains Decision Against Infringer of MONOPOLY Trademarks

The Primorye Region Arbitration Court recognized an infringement of Hasbro’s rights to MONOPOLY trademarks, held the importer liable under Article 14.10, Part 1 of the Russian Code for Administrative Offense, and fined the infringer.

The importer filed an appeal and The Fifth Arbitration Appeals Court confirmed Sojuzpatent’s position on the trademark infringement and upheld the lower court’s decision.
