Arbitration Court Rules in Favor of Sojuzpatent’s Client - CJSC "Crocus"

Arbitration Court of Moscow Region ruled in favor of Sojuzpatent’s client - CJSC "Crocus"in trademark infringement case with regard to the Russian trademark "CROCUS" No. 345279 and company name CJSC "CROCUS".Arbitration Court of Moscow Region ruled in favor of Sojuzpatent’s client - CJSC "Crocus"in trademark infringement case with regard to the Russian trademark "CROCUS" No. 345279 and company name CJSC "CROCUS". The court ordered to JSC "Crocus" (the defendant) to stop using the designation "Crocus" which is confusingly similar to the Russian trademark "CROCUS" No. 345279. Court withdrew from JSC "Crocus" (defendant) in favor of CJSC "CROCUS" ( plaintiff ) compensation for the infringement of the exclusive rights for the trademark in the amount of 500 000 (five hundred thousand) rubles and expenses for payment of state fee in the amount of 21,000 (twenty one thousand) rubles. The court also ordered JSC "Crocus" to stop using the full company name Open Joint Stock Company "Crocus" and short company name JSC “Crocus " which are confusingly similar to the full and short company names of the plaintiff.
