Taganskiy District Court Rules for Sojuzpatent’s Client KIA Motors RUS

On July 9, 2010, the Taganskiy District Court of Moscow ruled in favor of Sojuzpatent’s client “KIA Motors RUS” and dismissed the Plaintiff's (Mr. Ulanov) claim against LLC “KIA Motors RUS” regarding protection of Mr. Ulanov’s exclusive rights for the utility model “Device for transferring electrical signals and for return of blinker indicator’s lever” protected by patent RU 83976. The Taganskiy District Court in its decision rejected the Plaintiff's claims to oblige LLC “KIA Motors RUS” to stop using a product allegedly containing every feature of the utility model cited in the independent claim of the patent RU 83976 and to oblige LLC “KIA Motors RUS” to conclude with the Plaintiff a license agreement.
