Chamber for Patent Disputes Decides in Favor of Sojuzpatent's Client

The Decision of the Chamber for Patent Disputes made on the opposition filed by Sojuzpatent's patent attorneys declared invalid as not novel the Russian invention patent # 2172460 on March 18, 2005. The client of Sojuzpatent in this case was the famous Russian weapon making Company – “Izhevsky zavod” well-known as the main manufacturer of Kalashnikov Machine Guns. The invalidated patent was issued for the “defense means” (sort of small gun). The claims of the patent covered certain products of “Izhevsky zavod”. The decision of the Chamber for Patent Disputes made it possible to “Izhevsky zavod” to continue production.
