Meeting with the President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Primakov

On July 23, 2002, the President of the CCI RF Mr. Primakov held a meeting with the staff of Sojuzpatent. At the agenda of the meeting there were the problems of the Intellectual Property rights protection and the place taken by Sojuzpatent at the legal patent market. Namely, the question connected with passing of the Federal Law on the Attorneys’ Activity and the Bar was raised.

Providing additional incentives for Russian inventions was also discussed at the meeting: “We need a special state program on supporting  the intellectual potential of Russia”, - said Mr. Primakov. “In Russia, less than 1% falls on the high technology production, meanwhile in the USA – 18%, in Japan – 10%, in Germany – 30%.”
