Pursuant to a governmental resolution enacted on June 20, 2020, applicants are entitled to an extension of procedural terms in the Russian Patent and Trademark Office until December 31, 2020 on their specific request. The resolution came into force on June 22, 2020. The full text:
RESOLUTION BY THE GOVERNMENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
On the extension of the deadlines set for an applicant, a rights holder or another person for taking actions, including those related to the payment of patent and other official fees, necessary for the implementation of legal actions by the federal executive body on intellectual property
Pursuant to Clause 8 of Part 1 of Article 17 of the Federal Law "On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation Regarding the Prevention of and Response to Emergency Situations," the Government of the Russian Federation decides:
1. Deadlines set for an applicant, a rights holder or another person for taking actions, including those related to the payment of patent and other official fees, necessary for the implementation by the federal executive body on intellectual property of legal
actions provided for in Paragraph 3 of Article 1246 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, expiring from March 30, 2020 to November 30, 2020, shall be extended until December 31, 2020 at those persons’ request filed with the federal executive authority
for intellectual property within a period not exceeding one month of the date of expiration of the relevant deadline or from the date of entry into force of this resolution, depending on which date is later.
2. This resolution enters into force on the day of its official publication.
