Additional Fees for Trademark Registration and Renewal Based on Categories

The Russian government, in its Ruling of September 23, 2025 No. 1459, has introduced a new fee for the examination of trademark applications and for trademark renewals.
In addition to the current fee for extra classes, the new fee applies to categories, with a charge of 500 rubles for each category exceeding 10 in any class. The official fee structure will be as follows:
Examination:
- For one class: 13,000 rubles
- For each additional class: 2,000 rubles
- For each category of goods/services over 10 in one class: 500 rubles (New)
Renewal:
- For classes 1-5: 22,000 rubles
- For each additional class beyond five: 2,000 rubles
- For each category of goods/services over 10 in one class: 500 rubles (New)
These changes will take effect on October 4, 2025.
